Get to know the clinic
A physician-led family practice in the city core, built so that getting care doesn't cost you a day off work.
Who we are
A practice shaped around real schedules
City Centre Medical Clinic opened because too many people in this neighbourhood were choosing between a paycheque and a check-up. We put the clinic where the city already is — near transit, near offices, near home — and built the hours around evenings and weekends rather than around a nine-to-five rota.
Today our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and lab staff work on one floor, off one chart. That's not a small detail. It's why a test ordered in the morning can be explained to you the same week, and why you rarely have to repeat your own history.

How care works here
Three ways in, one medical record
However you reach us, your notes, results and prescriptions land in the same chart — so the next person who sees you already knows the story.
Family Practice
Rostered patients are matched with a physician or nurse practitioner who keeps track of the long arc — screenings that come due, medications that need reviewing, the condition you're managing year to year.
Annual physicals, chronic disease care, mental health check-ins, prenatal and paediatric visits all sit here. Appointments are booked in real lengths, so a complicated visit doesn't get squeezed into ten minutes.
Walk-In Care
For the things that can't wait for an appointment: infections, injuries, rashes, sudden pain, a sick child on a Saturday. A block of slots is held back every morning specifically for people who walk through the door.
You don't need to be a rostered patient. If what we find needs ongoing follow-up, we'll tell you plainly and offer you a spot in the practice.
Virtual Visits
Prescription renewals, results reviews, follow-up questions and plenty of first assessments can be handled by video or phone, usually the same day, by the same clinicians you'd see in person.
When something needs hands-on examination, we say so and book you in — often that same week. Virtual care is a faster front door, not a substitute for a proper exam.
Why we exist
Care people can actually reach
Most medicine isn't dramatic. It's a blood pressure that's been creeping up, a cough that won't clear, a prescription that needs a second look. Those things are manageable — as long as someone is available when they happen.
So availability is the thing we're organised around: hours that stretch past the workday, slots held for same-day need, results that come back with an explanation instead of a portal notification.
And once you're here, the standard is simple. We read your chart before we walk in, we explain the reasoning behind every test and prescription, and we tell you what to watch for once you're home.
What we handle
Most of it happens under one roof
Bloodwork, vaccines, minor procedures and routine screening are all on site, which means one appointment usually settles the whole question instead of starting a chain of them.
In a single visit we can
- Assess and treat sudden illness or injury
- Draw bloodwork and run routine screening
- Give vaccines, including travel and seasonal
- Review and renew prescriptions
- Manage ongoing conditions and adjust care
- Refer you on, with the paperwork already done
What we hold to
Four commitments that decide how we book, how we staff, and how a visit actually goes.
Available when it matters
Evening and weekend hours, same-day slots held back each morning, and a phone that gets answered by a person. Care you can't reach isn't care.
The same faces, visit to visit
We staff so you see your own clinician wherever possible, and everyone works from one chart. You shouldn't have to be your own medical record.
Plain answers, every time
Why this test, what the result means, what happens next, and what would make you call us back. No jargon left hanging, no decisions made over your head.
Your time counts too
Appointments booked in honest lengths, waits we actually apologise for, and a front desk that tells you the truth about how long it'll be.
Keep looking around
